I'm the BillP in BillP Studios. "BillP" has developed into its own brand identity known to all who have struggled with how to say or spell my last name, "Pytlovany". I had thought that my legacy would be the years I spent creating the software now enjoyed by millions of America Online customers. It now appears I'll be best known as the father of Scotty the Windows Watch Dog.

In 2002, at age 47 I married Cindi,  the love of my life. Our family now consists of my two daughters, Cindi's son and daughter, four grand children, nieces, nephews, etc.  Our oldest Erica(31) without meaning to followed in my technical foot steps and works out of the AOL Headquarters in Virginia.  Jenn(30), teaches pre-school in our home town of Scotia so we're able to regularly spoil two of our grandchildren Tyler(6) and Kerrington(5).  Chris(26) served his country in the Army and found happiness in Schweinfurt, Germany where our long distance bills go keeping in touch with grandchildren Marisa(9) and Tristan(3). Our youngest Amy(26) has recently completed her current education and is exploring life on Oregon's west coast.

I've spent some time at a number of colleges in upstate NY but ultimately received my B.A. at the College of St. Rose, in Albany NY. While my degree program was the study Math and Physics I discovered a natural ability and love for computer programming. I was just about done with my grad work at Union College in Schenectady, NY when an opportunity came I couldn't resist. I had a dream for an easy way for people to communicate online without having to understand parity, stop bits and baud rates. Some folks in Virginia shared my dream and the rest is telecom history.

I've had the opportunity over the years to work on a number of exciting projects. I spent some time in Redmond working on Microsoft's concept of the Information Highway PC. I assisted Gateway with the development of the Gateway DestinationÒ PC the first big screen TV/PC combined system. I helped ABC create an online presence and along with the Walt Disney Corp created Monday Night Footballs' PrimeTime Player Ô, the first LIVE Interactive Television application exclusively for ABC's Enhanced TV.
