Adobe Acrobat Assistant – ACROTRAY.EXE

This program installs with Adobe Acrobat Distiller, part of the Acrobat PDF writer. It places an icon in your system tray that you can use to start Distiller. If you don’t mind running the program manually, this can be safely removed.
