Multiple Programs – ALARMCLOCK.EXE

As you might guess, we found multiple instances of "alarmclock.exe".
Alarmclock.exe is the Microsoft Plus! Alarm Clock. It installs with Windows XP Plus! and Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition. This Alarm Clock tool lets you set an alarm to wake or alert you at the time and date you specify. Choose your favorite music from your Media Library to use as the alert sound. Just like your bedside alarm clock, the tool lets you listen to the music, turn off the alarm, or even press the snooze button. Alarmclock.exe is the executable for YAAC - Yet Another Alarm Clock. This program places an icon in your system tray that can be used to set alarms. Alarms can generate a popup windows or play a wav file.

There are many other shareware and freeware alarm clocks using a file by this name. If you have alarms set, you'll want to let it run on system startup and leave this file in place.
