Application Host Helper Service – APPHOSTSVC.DLL

Apphostsvc.dll will generally be found in your Windows\System32\inetsrv folder. It is the Application Host Helper Service. This service supports IIS (Internet Information Services) configuration history and application pool SID (security identifier) mapping. It enables the configuration history functionality by saving the ApplicationHost.config file to separate configuration history subdirectories at set intervals.
