Application ID Service – APPIDSVC.EXE

Appidsvc.exe is the Application Identity Service from Microsoft. It installs as part of your Windows 7 operating system and will generally be found in your Windows\System32 folder. The Application Identity service determines and verifies the identity of an application. Stopping this service will prevent Group Policy Management from enforcing group policies via AppLocker.
