Acer Launch Manager – APPINRUN.EXE

Appinrun.exe will be found in your c:\Acer\Preload\Command\AlaunchX\ folder. You may see it described as "Trigger New Acer AlaunchX". This is a preloader for the Acer Launch Manager, part of Acer's Empowering Technology. This gives you access to power management and some handy utilities such as eLock. When eLock is enabled, eaplauncher.exe makes it impossible to launch programs or view files. This is handy if you plan to be away from your laptop and don't want others snooping around.
