Application Launcher – APPLAUNCH.EXE

Applaunch.exe generally refers to some sort of application launcher.
Applaunch.exe is the AppLaunch ActiveX Control for Pocket PC. This control makes it possible to open large files more quickly in Microsoft® Internet Explorer for the Pocket PC. Applaunch.exe is also the Microsoft .NET "Click Once" launch utility. It may be distributed with .NET programs.

Applaunch.exe installs with ABSplus Backup by CMS Peripherals. More information can be found at http://www.cmsproducts.com/product_absplus_usb2_win.htm. If you use this programs automatic backup features, leave this file in place.

Because this is a short and common name, other programs may be using it.
