Intel AMT Status – ATCHK.EXE

Atchk.exe and atchksrv.exe come installed on Intel-based systems as the AMT Status Application. AMT is Active Management Technology. Using built-in platform capabilities and popular third-party management and security applications, Intel AMT allows IT to better discover, heal, and protect their networked computing assets. The AMT Status Application pops up a window that tells you if your system is AMT Enabled or not. This window has a "Don't show me this again" checkbox, but checking it doesn't work. So if you don't use AMT and want to get rid of these files, your best bet may be to disable them under your Startup Programs and Services using WinPatrol.
