Fingerprint Reader – ATSERVICE.EXE

Atservice.exe is the AuthenTec Fingerprint Service. It installs with the TruePrint Biometric fingerprint reader from Authentic, Inc. If your laptop came with a built-in fingerprint reader, it's fairly likely that AuthenTec built it. They also make fingerprint readers for Desktop PC keyboards, portable hard drives, WiFi access points and Password managers. If you use your fingerprint to log into or access one of these devices, you'll want to leave this file in place.
