HP Bitlocker Service Patch – BLSERVICE.EXE

Blservice.exe will appear in your c:\windows\sminst\ folder. You may see it described as "Recovery Service for Windows". It seems to come installed on some HP computers running Windows Vista. It was created as a workaround for an issue that HP systems were having with Microsoft Bitlocker. We noticed numerous compatibility issues and error messages involving this file particularly when installing a printer.
