Distributed Computing – BOINCTRAY.EXE

Files called boinctray.exe, boinc.exe, boinc_gui.exe, and boincmgr.exe install with a program called Boinc by Space Sciences Laboratory. Boinc is a software platform for distributed computing using volunteer computer resources. While there are many distributed computing projects, Seti@home is one of the most well known. That lets individual computer users donate their computer downtime to search for intelligent life in the universe.
