Brother Printer Installation Diagnostic – BRINSTCK.EXE

Brinstck.exe is the Brother Printer Installation Diagnostic utility. It may appear in a folder called c:\Program Files\Brother\Brmfl05a or c:\Program Files\Brother\Brmfl04a (number can vary depending upon the version of the installer). If you see this file in your Active Tasks or Startup Programs, it may mean that you simply haven't rebooted your system since installing your printer. If that's the case, rebooting may get rid of it. Having this file running could also indicate that there were problems when installing the printer. It can be disabled or removed using WinPatrol but we'd recommend making sure that all of your printer functions are working properly first.
