Microsoft Indexing Service - CIDAEMON

CIDAEMON.EXE is part of the Microsoft Indexing Service and Microsoft Filtering Component. When you go to Start > Search > Files or Folders, you can search for files or folders or you can search for words within files. If CIDAEMON is turned on, these searches should be faster and more efficient.

If it is causing problems, it can be disabled. There are two ways to do this:
1: Control Panel > Add Remove Programs > Add Remove Windows Components > uncheck 'Indexing Services'.
2: Start Menu > Run > type 'services' > find Indexing Service in the list > right click properties > click Stop, then choose Disable.

Common error: The filter service could not run since file file could not be found on your system.
