Catalyst Medi Center – CMCSERVICE.EXE

Cmcservice.exe installs with the Catalyst Media Center by ATI. This full-featured media center ships with ATI's analog or digital TV Tuner cards including the Theater 650 Pro. It offers MultiView for "picture in picture" viewing and ThruView for translucent video over other applications.

This file doesn't necessarily need to be running all the time. It can be launched when needed via Start > Programs or by using the desktop icon. It should be noted that AMD has purchased ATI.
