Logitech QuickCam Software – COMMUNICATIONS_HELPER.EXE

Communications_helper.exe installs with drivers for your Logitech QuickCam Web cam. You'll find the file in your C:\Program Files\Common Files\LComMgr folder. This file makes it possible for your QuickCam to communicate via 3rd party chat or instant messaging programs including Yahoo, AOL and Skype.

By default, this file will start on system startup. Some users complain that it eats up nearly all available memory and resources. If you're having this problem, check for updated drivers at http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/downloads/categories/US/EN,CRID=1794. You may also want to disable it on system startup using WinPatrol in favor of launching it manually when needed.
