IME tool or Backdoor Threat – CONIME.EXE

Conime.exe is the Input Method Editor (IME) progress. This Microsoft file will be found on your system if you have the IME installed. This is a legitimate program that, in itself, is not a security risk.

Conime.exe is also used as the BFGhost 1.0 Remote administration backdoor tool. This backdoor application can allow a remote user to access you computer. This is generally done to steal passwords, credit card information and other personal data. If you have this instance of the file, you'll also find files called bfghost.exe, editmm.exe, and service.dll on your system. We'd recommend removing all of these files using WinPatrol. First, go to your Active Tasks and kill them there. Next, go to your Startup Programs and remove the .exe files there. Finally, go to your IE Helpers and remove service.dll. If you're running WinPatrol 8.x or later, you have the option of right clicking each file then selecting "Delete file on reboot".
