Virus Alert – CRACK.EXE

There are a number of possibilities for CRACK.EXE.
1. This file may be an indication that you have a virus on your system. Viruses that install a file called crack.exe include:
w32.supova.B.worm, w32.hllw.cozit, w32.hllw.nautic, w32.hllw.heffer, w32.hllw.yoof, w32.hllw.nopadex, w32denisbee, w32.molim@mm, w32.poscal.worm, w32.kitro.e.worm, w32.hllw.neight, w32.cianam.worm, w32.wonna@mm, w32.hllw.sodabot.

2. Crack.exe may install on your system as part of the Bearshare file sharing service.

3. Files named Crack.exe may be distributed on German Warez (software piracy) sites.

4. Files named Crack.exe are circulating with registration codes needed to illegally install popular computer games.

There is no good reason to have this file on your system. We’d strongly recommend removing it. If you believe you may have a virus, please scan your system with an up to date virus scanning tool.
