Multiple Programs – DELAY.EXE

A file called delay.exe installs with a number of different programs. Most of them are delayed startup utilities or delayed program execution utilities.

Delay.exe and delayrun.exe install with DelayRun originally by John Hysted. It comes preinstalled on most HP computers. More information can be found at http://www.hystedjp.btinternet.co.uk/software/delayrun.htm.

As this is a short and common name, there may be many other programs that use it. In general, disabling or removing this file will result in eliminating the delay the program was creating. This may or may not be beneficial. If you do opt to try removing it, we'd recommend simply disabling it in your Startup Programs using WinPatrol. That way if problems arise, you can easily re-enable it.
