Microsoft Excel – EXCEL.EXE

Excel.exe is the executable for Microsoft Excel, a very popular spreadsheet program sold as a standalone and shipped as part of Microsoft Office. While this file doesn't need to be running all the time, it should be left running any time a supported file format (.xls, .xlw, .xlt and .xla) is open. This file can be launched from the Microsoft Office toolbar; it can be run via Start > Programs; or it can be started by double clicking any supported file format.
