FireBird – FBSERVER.EXE

FBServer and fBGuard.exe install with the FireBird relational database. This open source relational database can be found at http://www.firebirdsql.org/. Fbserver.exe is the Firebiard Server. FBGuard.exe is the Firebird Guardian. Its main job is to protect the server.

We'd recommend leaving these files in place. If you disable FBServer, FBGuard will restart it. Additional help installing and running FireBird under Windows can be found at http://www.firebirdsql.org/index.php?op=lists#fbsupport.
