Fake Guard – FGUARD.EXE

Fguard.exe is the executable for Fake Guard. This program promises to protect you from Fake or Rogue Security Software. These fakeware programs generate an official looking popup telling you that you have a virus or other system problem and offering you a free scan. If you agree (and sometimes even if you don't) the program installs on your system. It then generates fake results and tells you that you need to buy the program to remove these fake results. These programs can be hard to get rid of. So some feel preventing them from installing in the first place is the way to go. This program now installs with Spyware Doctor version 8.x or later from PC Tools Software.
