Dell & Google 404 Page – GOOGLEAE.DLL

Googleae.dll comes installed on Dell Desktop and Laptop computers. When your browser can't find a web page, it puts up a standard "404" error page. If this file is running, you'll be redirected to a custom 404 page sponsored by Dell and Google found at http://www.google.com/hws/dell/afe?.

While this page doesn't exactly hurt anything, some would call this practice "404 hijacking". At best, it gives you quick access to Dell content and Google search. If you don't want to be taken to this page, remove googleae.dll from your IE Helpers using WinPatrol.
