Windows Group Conversion - GRPCONV.EXE
To facilitate the upgrade from Windows 3.1 to Win95/98, an executable file named GRPCONV.EXE is included with Win95/98/me. This file provides the translation of Windows 3.x groups and group items to folders and links. This file will run during installation and setup of Windows 9x/me. It will also run when you install any program that attempts to create Windows 3.x program groups.
Running GRPCONV /S will recreate the original start & program folders that are created when Windows 9x/me installs. This can be handy if you'd deleted something vital.
Running GRPCONV -o will only update optional components.
