Multiple Programs – HCONTROL.EXE

HControl.exe comes installed by default on an ASUS Notebook PC. The file is required to support the special hotkeys on the Asus keyboard. If you don't use these hotkeys or function keys, you can safely remove this file. You can get more information and support for your notebook at http://www.asus.com/support/support.aspx.

Hcontrol.exe also installs with the Hamster Playground SMTP or POP3 Mail and News Server. While not listed on their support page, users tell us this program does run under Windows Vista or Windows 7. You'll find more information in the original German at http://www.elbiah.de/hamster/pg/index.htm.
