Adware Alert – IEBHO.DLL

Iebho.dll installs with Adware.IESearch. It will hijack your browser's home page and search results to its controlling server and will monitor all of your Internet activity. More information can be found at http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2006-022317-4548-99.

Files called iebho.dll, msiebho.dll and kie.dll install with Troj/Agent.DDW. This Trojan can hijack your browser's home and search pages. It will also try to contact it's controlling server (of Chinese origin) and then download other unwanted or malicious files.

We'd recommend removing these files using WinPatrol. First, kill them under Active Tasks then remove them from your IE Helpers. If running WinPatrol 8.x or later; right click each file then select "Delete file on reboot". Finally, reboot your system.
