Multiple Programs – IGFXSRVC.DLL

Igfxsrvc.dll is the Intel Integrated Graphics Controller. You'll find this file on Intel-based motherboards that have itegrated video. Typically this file runs as a Winlgon Notify Service when your computer starts. It should be left in place. You can check for updated drivers from Intel at http://support.intel.com/support/index.htm?iid=HPAGE+header_support&.

If you don't have Intel integrated graphics, you may have an adware instance of this file. We believe that files called igfxsrvc.dll, atmpvc.dll, enrsl1971.dll, navlogon.dll, h04mlah11d4.dll, j8p0li7m18.dll, e8200ifme82a0.dll, e6200gfme62a0.dll, and eplrr0.dll install with a variant of the CoolWebSearch adware program. This program can hijack your browser's homepage and searches to its controlling server. It can also generate popup ads.

There are many different variants of this adware/spyware program. Background on CoolWebSearch can be found at http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/CoolWebSearch.html.

We would recommend removing these files using WinPatrol. First, kill them in your Active Task list. Next, remove them from your IE Helpers and Startup Programs. These filenames may appear with "enableRundll32" tagged on to the filename (eg: "kw3eef76.dll,enableRunDLL32"). If all of the CWS related files aren't removed at once, they may reappear due to settings in your Windows Registry. So be on the lookout for any 6 or 8 character filenames that have no description and seem to be made of a random gathering of letters and numbers.

If you are unable to get rid of these files, you might try http://www.mysteryware.com. Scroll down to find "CoolWebShredder", a free CoolWebSearch removal tool.
