IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service - IMAPI.EXE
Imapi.exe is a service provided by Microsoft as part of your Windows operating system. It manages CD recording using Image Mastering Applications Programming Interface (IMAPI). If this service is stopped, this computer will be unable to record CDs. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start.
If you want to be able to burn CDs, you'll need to leave this file in place. By default, it's set to 'manual'. It can be set to 'manual' or 'automatic.' If you're having trouble burning CDs or DVDs, check out Microsoft's troubleshooting information at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324129/EN-US/.
