Document Indexing - INDEXSEARCH

INDEXSEARCH installs with many Visioneer PaperPort scanners and is a part of Omnipage Pro 12 Office, PaperPort, PaperPort Deluxe and Omniform. OCR stands for "Optical Character Recognition". Scanners don’t know the difference between text and graphics. An OCR program is used to look at scanned text and recognize the shapes as letters. From there, the scanned document can be sent to your favorite word processor.

INDEXSEARCH the document indexing service. It is responsible for making the documents you scan searchable. If you do a lot of document scanning, we'd recommend keeping the file in place.
