Trialware Installer – INSTALLSHIELD LICENSING SERVICE.EXE

Installshield licensing service.exe is the InstallShield Licensing Service. This service is required for all trialware products. Trialware refers to software that you can try for a period of time before buying. During the installation of a trialware product, the installation checks to see if the service is already on the machine. If not, it's installed. If so, the reference count is increased by one.

This is done to prevent someone from extending their trial period by simply installing a new copy of the same program. This file is required during installation but doesn't need to be running at other times. If you just installed something, rebooting your system will generally get rid of it.
