Macrovision license – LMGRD.EXE

LMGrd.exe is the license agreement manager created by Macrovision. This software is included with many different types of programs. Examples include Mathlab, Softimage and Quantus. Macrovision is well known for copy protection of audio and DVD materials in addition to their software business. This entry may appear in WinPatrol with the name "Globetrotter Software". They've now merged with Macrovision. This file should run when installing or activating a program but should not need to be running all the time.
