Maxthon Browser – MAXTHON.EXE

Maxthon.exe is the executable for the Maxthon web browser (formerly MyIE2) by Mysoft Technology. This program uses Microsoft Internet Explorer as the browser engine but adds features such as tabbed browsing, mouse gestures, super drag & drop, privacy protection, and an ad blocker. It works with the Google Toolbar and has changeable skins. More information can be found at http://www.maxthon.com/en/.

By default, the Maxthon browser will install itself to run on system startup. If you like the features this program offers, leave the file in place. If not, it can be removed using WinPatrol.

Some users report that Mysoft may hijack your home page to a site which will then download and install additional software. So caution is advised.
