Microsoft OneCare – MPSSVC.EXE

Mpssvc.exe installs with Microsoft OneCare Live. You'll find the file in your c:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows OneCare Live\Firewall\ folder. If you run Windows OneCare Live or Windows OneCare Firewall, leave this file in place. Removing it could leave you unprotected. Files called mpeng.exe and msmpsvc.exe may also appear on your system. These files support your antivirus and malware protection. So leave those in place as well.
