Navshext.dll installs with Norton Antivirus, Norton Internet Security, and Norton SystemWorks versions 2002 or later. This Norton Antivirus shell extension/browser helper integrates virus scanning features with your MSIE web browser. We'd recommend leaving this file in place.

This file will be running anytime Norton Antivirus is running and your web browser is open. Because of this, you may have trouble uninstalling any of the Symantec antivirus products.
