NeroBackItUp – NBKEYSCAN.EXE

Nbkeyscan.exe installs as part of a special version of NeroBackItUp that comes bundled by external hard drives. This file runs on system startup and detects when you power up your external drive and hit the "One button backup" button. It then springs into action and loads the Nero software for you. If you use this "One button backup" feature of your external drive, you'll need to leave this file in place. If not, it can be disabled in your Startup Programs using WinPatrol.
