Network DDE Service - NETDDE.EXE
Netdde.exe is a service provided by Microsoft. It provides network transport and security for Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) for programs running on the same computer or on different computers. If this service is stopped, DDE transport and security will be unavailable. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it such as the Network DDE DSDM service and the Clipbook Service will fail to start. This service is no longer required if running Windows XP Pro with the SP2 patch installed.
