OmniPage SE 2.0 - OPWARESE4.EXE

This file is part of OmniPage SE 4.0 that installs with many scanners. When you scan a page of text, your computer only understands it as a picture. An Optical Character Recognition (OCR) program is needed to convert the shapes into actual text letters.

This is the "lite" version of the program. There is generally some encouragement to upgrade to the full OmniPage Pro. It also scans into Microsoft Office programs and converts PDF files, XML files, and Network MFP files. It adds an "Aquire" menu option to most popular Word Processing programs (Word, Office, WordPerfect, etc). Using this option, you can scan and OCR convert a page of text directly into your word processor. This software was originally developed by ScanSoft but is now owned by Nuance.
