Pareto_update.exe is the update utility that installs with Pareto AntiSpyware by Pareto Logic. This program promises active, real-time protection against adware and spyware. Pareto_update.exe should only need to be running when checking for updates to the adware/spyware data files. Pareto_as.exe is the program's main executable that will need to be running anytime you want real-time protection.
