Toshiba Update Notification – PINGER.EXE

PINGER.EXE comes installed on many Toshiba computers. It works just like WindowsUpdate notification. Periodically checks to see if there are any software/driver upgrades from Toshiba for your particular computer model. If it finds any, it posts a notification. You then decide if you want to download the update or ignore it. Some have claimed this is spyware but these claims are unfounded to date. This file may also appear as PINGER.EXE /RUN
