Microsoft Preview Handler – PREVHOST.EXE

Prevhost.exe installs as part of your Windows operating system. It is the "Preview Handler Surrogate Host". Preview handlers are called when an item is selected to show a lightweight, rich, read-only preview of the file's contents in the view's reading pane. This is done without launching the file's associated application. While it is used by many Windows applications, you may have used it to view the preview pane or contact information in Outlook or Windows mail. You'll want to leave this file in place.
