Multiple Programs – PSTRIP.EXE

We found multiple programs using a file called pstrip.exe.

Pstrip.exe ships with a variety of video cards ranging from the ATI Mach 64 to the latest GeForce cards. It provides advanced, multi-monitor, programmable hardware support for these cards. If you're using the multi-monitor support or if you love to tweak your video settings often, leave this file in place. If not, you can remove it. More information about this program can be found at http://entechtaiwan.net/util/ps.shtm.

A file called pstrip.exe also installs with the PowerStrip adware program. This program adds a toolbar to Internet Explorer. The toolbar consists of a search button and news feed. Both are controlled by thepowerstrip.com. We'd recommend removing any of the following files that appear on your system: pstrip.exe, powrstrp.dll, pslauncher.exe, psocx.dll, pssetup.exe, ltdmgr.exe. First, kill these files in your Active Task list. Next, remove them from both IE Helpers and Startup Programs.
