Quicken Download Agent - QAGENT

QAGENT is Quicken’s Downloading Agent. When you start Quicken or Quickbooks, this file runs to establish a connection with the Internet. Most often, this is done to connect with your bank account or other financial records or services. This happens in the background and you can use other portions of the program while it is happening.

Some people experience problems connecting to their ISP with QAgent running. If this happens, you can disable it as follows:
1. From the Quicken Edit menu, choose Options, and then choose Internet Options.
2. With the Internet Options window open, press Alt+Shift+4.
3. Click Yes when asked if you want to disable the Quicken Background Download Manager driver.
4. Click OK at the Connection Options window.
5. Close Quicken, and then restart your computer.

Error messages when opening Quicken, connecting to the Internet, and/or restarting the computer.

Device driver for the communication port Com1device is preventing the machine to enter stand by.
