Multiple Programs – REGMECH.EXE

Regmech.exe is the executable for Web Mechanic by Winguides. This windows registry clean and repair tool for Windows 95/98/Me/NT4/2000/XP can be used to safely clean up unused registry keys and fix registry problems. More information is available at http://www.winguides.com/.

Regmech.exe is also the executable for a program with similar functionality called Registry Mechanic by PC Tools. You'll find more information at http://www.pctools.com/registry-mechanic/. This file does not necessarily need to be running all the time. You could launch it manually when you wanted to work with your registry. Please be sure to make a backup of your registry before making changes. "Registry Guide" by the same author offers additional registry tips and tweaks.
