Adware Alert – RLSERVICE.EXE

Rlservice.exe installs with an adware program called RelevantKnowledge, classified as Adware.Relevant.A and Adware.Marketscore. The author describes this program as follows: "RelevantKnowledge is an online market research service that periodically conducts surveys on topics of interest to the Internet community." This program collects data on web browsing habits and can generate popup ads. Other files that may be installed on your system include rkinstaller.exe, rlvknlg.exe, rlls.dll, rk.exe, mrkscr.exe, mkls.dll, comscore.exe, amrkscr.exe, cemetrix.dll, osmim.dll and ossproxy.exe. We'd recommend removing these files using WinPatrol. First, kill them under Active Tasks then remove them from your Startup Programs and/or IE Helpers. If running WinPatrol 8.x or later; right click each file then select "Delete file on Reboot". Finally, reboot your system.
