Virus Alert – SCPLIB.DLL

Files called scplib.dll, scpmib.dll, scpad.exe will be found in your c:\Program Files\scpad\ folder. You may see it described as ShardTaskScheduler: scpLIB. Files called gbiehItau.dll, gbiehCef.dll, gbiehBank.dll and scoop2008.dll may also appear on your system, located in your Windows folder. These files may appear to come from Scopus Techologia Ltda, a legitimate bank in Brazil. In reality, these files install with the W32.Bancotrep@mm mass-mailing worm. This worm runs on system startup, it can allow a remote user to access your system and it may try to steal personal information by installing the Infostealer keylogger. You'll find more information at http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2008-042203-5230-99&tabid;=2.

We'd recommend removing these files using WinPatrol. First, kill them under Active Tasks then remove them from your Startup Programs and IE Helpers. If running WinPatrol 8.x or later; right click each file then select "Delete file on Reboot". Finally, reboot your system and make sure the files are really gone.
