Seaport Search Enhancement Broker – SEAPORT.EXE

Seaport.exe is the Microsoft SeaPort Search Enhancement Broker. Microsoft describes it as follows: "Enables the detection, download and installation of up-to-date configuration files for Microsoft Search Enhancement applications. Also provides server communication for the customer experience improvement program. If this service is disabled, search enhancement features such as search history may not work correctly." This file installs with a number of Microsoft programs including the Microsoft Office Live Addin Toolbar, Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Writer, Windows Live Messenger, and the Microsoft Photo Gallery and Family Safety applications. If you can get by without 'enhancements' such as search history, you might consider disabling this file under your WinPatrol Services tab.
