Network Server or Possible Virus – SERVER.EXE
SERVER.EXE is a common program name when dealing with networking where one system is the server, and the other the client. Files called SERVER.EXE install with Novell's Netware and Groupware. More information can be found at http://www.novell.com/products/netware/.

SERVER.EXE also installs with the Ashampoo Uninstaller Suite Plus/Mail Virus Blocker. This file is safe and should be left in place. More information can be found at http://www.ashampoo.com/.
Unfortunately, a file called "SERVER.EXE" may find its way onto your system as part of the following viruses:

Sony VAIO – SERVER.VBS
Server.vbs is part of a program called "ZTGServerswitch". Part of Sony's VAIO support agent, it comes pre-installed on Sony VAIO computers. This program can be helpful in gathering information about your system when troubleshooting problems with Tech Support. If you don’t need this function, you can remove the program. Some classify ZTGserverwitch as Spyware claiming that too much information is sent to Sony.
