Nokia PC Suite – SERVICELAYER.EXE

ServiceLayer.exe installs with PC Suite 5 for Nokia phones. Use PC Suite to synchronize phone information with a compatible PC, install software, configure phone settings, and make backups of phone files. A file called datalayer.exe will also appear on your system.

You'll probably find this file in C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia PC Suite 5\DataLayer\Application\DataLayer.exe. This file should not need to be running all the time. To get support or download the latest version of PC Suite, visit http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,8764,96,00.html. Just select your phone model.
