Microsoft SQL VSS Writer – SQLWRITER.EXE

Sqlwriter.exe will appear in your c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Shared\ folder. It's the SQL Server VSS (Volume Shadow Copy Service) Writer that installs with Microsoft's SQL Server version 9.0.0 or later. If you're running SQL Server, we'd recommend leaving this file inp lace.
