Windows XP Task Manager - TASKMGR.EXE

TASKMGR.EXE is the Windows Task Manager. It will give you a list showing you which programs are running. If taskmgr is in your startup group, an icon will appear in your system tray that can be used to pop up Task Manager. Because WinPatrol shows you your startup files, processes and services that are running on your system, you really don't need to have the Windows Task Manager icon in your system tray. TASKMGR.EXE can be safely removed from your startup group, but you shouldn't attempt to delete it completely from your system.
