Toshiba ECO Utility – TECO.EXE

Teco.exe and tecoservice.exe come installed on many Toshiba Satellite Laptop computers. They'll generally be found in your c:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\TECO\ folder. They are used by the Toshiba Eco Utility button on your keyboard. When pressed, your LEDs are turned off and the monitor is powered down. This results in lower energy use that is more friendly to the environment. If you use this button, you'll want to leave these files in place. You'll find the latest version of this program at http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp?nav=Download. Simply select your laptop make and model.
